Case study 1BackgroundHaving worked with one of our Senior Consultants successfully in the past – recruiting a broad range of experienced and professional personnel - this CEO / Managing Director, himself a recognised leader in the pharmaceutical industry, knew where to turn when looking to recruit for his new development stage pharmaceutical company. The AssignmentThe first assignment was to find a first class Office Manager / Executive PA for this impressive Board of Directors, needing exceptional organisational and administrative skills to support the growth and development plans for the business. With floatation pending, it was crucial to secure an Executive PA with relevant experience and skills, as well as the personal presentation and credibility commensurate at this level. Not just any secretary would do for this very discerning client. An advertisement was placed in relevant local media and selected websites. Alongside the advertising a full search of the database also added to the long list of applicants. Having worked with the CEO / MD previously and taken the time to really understand the needs of this new business, we were able to quickly focus on those candidates most likely to ‘fit’. So he appointed a Head of Human Resources to develop a professional and credible HR function.
